Within our Transportation Business Group, we deliver complex, high-impact projects across highways, bridges, transit, rail, aviation, ports, and marine infrastructure. Our multidisciplinary teams combine technical rigor, innovation, and collaboration to solve some of the most challenging mobility problems facing communities today.

We're seeking an Area Digital Delivery Manager to lead and grow our Digital Delivery practice across Southern California. In this role, you'll provide strategic and technical leadership for BIM, VDC, and digital delivery services-ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation across transportation projects of all sizes, including mega-projects.
You'll work side-by-side with project managers, technical leaders, and national digital leadership to shape standards, implement tools, mentor teams, and embed digital best practices into how HDR delivers transportation infrastructure. As an employee-owner, you'll have a direct stake in the success of our people, projects, and communities.

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading Digital Delivery strategy, growth, and resourcing for Transportation in Southern California
* Establishing and standardizing Digital Delivery programs across BIM, VDC, data, and asset management
* Coordinating with Project Controls, GIS, and Visualization teams to enhance project delivery
* Supporting national initiatives for BIM standards, training, best practices, and thought leadership
* Identifying staffing needs and building a strong, scalable Digital Delivery team
* Managing Digital Delivery execution on major transportation projects
* Developing scopes, fees, BIM Execution Plans, and enforcing delivery standards
* Overseeing QA/QC for models, drawings, and interdisciplinary coordination
* Supporting Common Data Environment setup and governance
* Successfully managing multiple complex projects with accuracy and accountability

Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 5 years digital delivery (model management) experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
  • Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies
  • Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
  • Familiar with content creation and management concepts
  • Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essential
  • Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and an excellent work ethic

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
