Who we are and what we do: Project manager position is in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Division that supports the State of Tennessee's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in addition to the Information Technology needs of the departments of Finance & Administration, General Services, Human Resources and Veterans Services. The ERP business systems include PeopleSofts Human Capital Management application suite for time and attendance, payroll, benefits, and human resource management, Financial and Supply Chain Management application suite for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and procurement management, and a series of integrated applications for cashiering, State-owned vehicle and facilities management. The position is responsible for oversees complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all scope, timeline, and budget requirements. Planning, initiating, and managing information technology (IT) projects such as new and existing application implementations and upgrades, new product and technology deployments, business process improvement initiatives and disaster recovery testing. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of six years of professional level experience in project management. Substitution of Experience for Education: Professional-level experience in any one of the following areas may substitute for the required college degree on a year-for-year basis to a maximum substitution of six to eight years of project management. Substitution of Graduate Coursework for the Required Experience: Any additional graduate coursework in project management, computer information systems, computer networking technology, computer technology or other related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum substitution of one year. (Thirty-six graduate quarter hours or a master's degree in the above fields is equivalent to one year of experience.) OR A minimum of four years of experience as a Project Manager with the State of Tennessee.
