Job Description

Reporting the to the Director of Purchasing, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the purchasing storeroom.

What you will be doing:

  • Mark all received items with the current date and stocks accordingly
  • Maintain clean, safe, and efficient stocking and picking of all items stored in the storeroom including sweeping and mopping
  • Keep supervisor informed of current stock levels
  • Rotate items when stocking following 'first in, first out' standards.
  • Maintain quality control by notifying the supervisor and keeping a log of all expired or unacceptable product
  • Fill daily requisitions of food, non-food, and beverage products
  • Deliver beverage and food orders to outlets
  • Assist in departmental inventory of all stocked items in the storeroom

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple interests
  • Must be fluent and literate in English

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying a minimum of 80lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time (4-6 hours).
  • Must be able to walk long distances and maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways or elevator
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, twist, turn, grasp, grip, push and pull, stack, and have the manual dexterity to operate light equipment and motor vehicles

Additional Information

Compensation:$25.14 per hour

Visa Requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
