Location: Atlanta, GA-Buckhead office- 5 days/week in office

Overview:

The Cloud Service Engineer will support the Servigistics products across the PTC private cloud. This role will be responsible for every facet of the SAAS lifecycle: from initial installation, upgrades, promotions to production, monitoring, technical support, and incident response. The role report into the Servigistics software operations and support group and work with many supporting departments, ranging from R&D, networking, DBA's, and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution or escalation of all issues efficiently within our ticketing system
  • Focus on providing and documenting solutions and root cause analysis for medium complexity customer issues, using a customer-centered approach
  • Install PTC Application Software and its supporting approved 3rd Party Software (for example Apache, tomcat, Intellicus, Kettle etc.)
  • Resolves issues and makes decisions pertaining to the configuration of PTC Applications
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Execution of documented upgrade procedures for PTC applications using PTC upgrade tools
  • Execute build deployments according to providing instructions

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Installing/configuring Apache, Java, Tomcat
  • Basic Oracle commands (select, insert, delete, join)
  • Linux operating system
  • ETL tools (Pentaho PDI, Informatica IICS, Informatica PowerCenter)
  • Troubleshooting skills

Preferred background:

  • 2+ years working in an IT Help Desk type environment
  • Understanding of Cloud technology
  • Basic command line Linux Skills
  • Basic Oracle skills
  • Basic troubleshooting skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.) + 2 years of technical work experience OR Bachelors in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.)
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Security level clearance

PTC carefully considers a wide varietyof factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $85,000 - 100,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
