POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Level I position is an entry level cleaning position. The position's primary function is to ensure our facility maintains a clean and sanitary work environment in order to deliver quality products to our consumers and to provide an clean and safe work environment for employees

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The cleaner is responsible for the daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annually cleaning tasks as identified in coordination with the Supervisor Product QA/QC and Manager DC Operations

JOB ESSENTIALS/ ATTRIBUTES:

  • Maintain a safe operating record for powered industrial equipment.
  • Ability to practice safe working habits at all times.
  • Initiative: Self-starte who takes the initiative to identify cleaning needs and address them without needing constant supervision.
  • Proactive Cleaning: Regularly assessing areas that require attention and taking action to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying potential issues related to cleanliness or safety and proposing effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seeking ways to enhance cleaning processes and efficiency, suggesting improvements to current practices when necessary.
  • Responsibility: Taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring that all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard, even in the absence of direct oversight.
  • Energy: Maintains high activity/productivity level. Operates with sense of urgency, efficiency, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time.
  • Stress Tolerance: Maintains stable and professional performance under pressure or opposition.
  • Communication: Presents ideas effectively, actively listens, and works across functional boundaries with the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and third-party contractors.
  • Teamwork: Can work in group or alone; oriented towards the good of the whole. Ability to build rapport and a good working relationship with co-workers.
  • Ability to effectively deal with change and adversity in the workplace, and work in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Successful completion of post offer background checks and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include early morning/late night hours; Willing to work any day of the week, weekends, Holidays and required over-time as specific to role
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work safely
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work in fluctuating temperatures, as the job will require tasks both inside and outside the facility at different times of the year.
  • Head/Neck: Frequently, moving head and neck while moving product onto trailers and in the warehouse.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally, lifting/carrying 10-50 pounds of supplies to position on cart
  • Pushing/Pulling: Frequently, using both hands/arms while moving supplies
  • Bending/Twisting: Occasionally, bending at waist 30-45 degrees while shrink wrapping or loading/unloading pallets on off truck. Bending and twisting of the upper torso and squatting when visually inspecting the pallet jacks/carts and placing pallet jack on the floor.
  • Kneeling/Crouching: Occasionally, while picking boxes of supplies at floor level, shrink wrapping and while performing clean up tasks.
  • Standing/Walking: Frequently, while performing some duties in the warehouse, walking up to four hours per shift on concrete surface.
  • Balance: Wet and icy conditions in warehouse

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Hazards: Slippery surfaces; uneven work surfaces, wet and icy, exposure to cold, cuts and pinch points, and moving equipment.
  • Equipment Used: Sit-down and standup forklift, compressed air, vacuums, mops, brooms, packaging tape dispensers, manual pallet jack, hydraulic baler, overhead dock doors, trailer restraint systems (manual and hydraulic), scissor lifts, boom lifts, and fall restraint systems. Proper training required for all material handling equipment, with manager authorization.
  • All required PPE applicable to the working environment.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $35.55 to $36.55. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
