SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Business Finance Director in all financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis activities for the Wholesale Banking segment. This position plays a key role in transforming financial data into actionable insights that inform decisions around pricing, profitability, loan growth, deposit mix, and risk-adjusted returns.  The role blends traditional FP&A rigor with forward-looking analysis and requires curiosity, precision, and strong understanding of commercial banking economics.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. Financial Planning & Forecasting 
 
 
   
  - Supports the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans for the Wholesale Banking portfolio.
 - Develops and maintains driver-based forecast models for NII, fees, credit losses, and expenses.
 - Collaborates with line-of-business partners to validate assumptions and provide variance explanations.
 
   
  
 
 Reporting & Analytics 
 
 
   
  - Produces monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, identifying key drivers behind variances and trends.
 - Analyzes portfolio profitability, balance sheet composition, and product-level contribution.
 - Maintains banker performance dashboards and assist in incentive metric tracking.
 
   
  
 
 Business Partnering 
 
 
   
  - Provides analysis and insights to business partners on client, product, and industry performance.
 - Supports the development of presentations for leadership, including executive and board-level materials.
 - Participates in ad hoc analyses and business case development for new products, pricing, or initiatives.

  - Ensures accuracy and completeness of financial data and reconciliations.
 - Partners with Controllership and Risk to validate financial inputs and align reporting standards.
 - Maintains documentation for forecasting methodologies and reporting assumptions.
 - Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
 - Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
 - Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
 
   
  
 
 
 
 EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, statistics, or mathematics required. Advanced degree or certification (MBA, CFA) preferred. EXPERIENCE 
 
 
   
  - 5+ years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, commercial banking analysis, or related field) required.
 
   
  
 
 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
 
 
   
  - Solid understanding of banking P&L, loan/deposit drivers, credit risk concepts and FTP.
 - Strong analytical and modeling skills.
 - Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and data-driven forecasting tools; SQL and Python experience a plus.
 - Proficiency using AI tools in a professional environment.
 - Understanding of data governance and data quality controls.
