Staff Accountant

Staffmark is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing company in Ruston, LA. This full-time opportunity offers a stable schedule, strong compensation, and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting corporate and facility-level accounting operations.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $50,000-$70,000/year (based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Document and summarize financial transactions to produce balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with corporate financial reports and ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain internal spreadsheets to support ledger reconciliation and reporting.
• Review invoices and ensure proper coding and fund allocation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Perform backup of financial databases and maintain financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks.
• CPA preferred (not required).
• Experience in corporate, intercompany, or multi-company accounting.
• Familiarity with Service Contract Agreements, FLSA, and 401(k) reporting (Form 5500) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
