GENERAL FUNCTION

The position will focus on ensuring that budgeted projects are been analyzed, planned, implemented and monitored properly. This is accomplished by partnering with different departments and business channels such as Retail, Wholesale, Ecom with a focus on proactive process improvements in order to achieve transportation cost/service advantages. This role is positioned on analytical and strategical side of the dynamical North America Transportation environment, leveraging project management principles, analytical thinking and operational experiences to collaborate with the stakeholders to achieve excellence in term of cost saving, process improvement and service optimization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Partner with Procurement, Distribution, Finance and Business Intelligence to define, implement, and lead part of the transportation and network strategy projects.
  • Manage and streamline part of transportation networks projects and maintain clear milestones and deadlines to respect expected delivery dates.
  • Partner with multiple internal departments as well as suppliers to ensure that required service levels are optimized and balance transportation service level to the brands while maximizing cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and different stakeholders throughout transportation projects e.g. Suppliers, Sales Operation, Procurement, Operations, Corporate.
  • Use cost and service data to identify areas for improvement in transportation network. Transportation network performance continuous improvement planning using historical data, current market trends and sales forecasting data.
  • Create KPIs to proactively monitor network cost efficiency and projects results (service and cost)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • After project execution, handover the project to the operational team.
  • May telecommute.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Strong proactiveness, passion, accountability, and self-motivation along with excellent problem-solving and data analytics skills.
  • Quick learner
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field, and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation OR Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field, and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a related occupation.
  • Experience must include: 2+ years' experience in projects management; Managing multiple fast paced projects within a matrixed organization; Preparing and presenting reports and briefings to upper management; 1-2 years' experience in multiple logistic or transportation methods such as Small Parcel vs LTL/FTL shipping methods, air and ground shipping difference.
  • Proficiency skills required, Microsoft package (Power point, Excel, Word, Visio).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Preferred skills, PMP certificate, SQL or VBA; PowerBI or Tableau; Alteryx or Qlik etc. of data preparation tools; Working with transportation management system and warehouse management software such as SAP and Oracle; Six sigma or Lean related project experience.
