Mutual of Omaha has an immediate full-time opening on our dynamic team for a Finance Analyst specializing in IRS Form 5500 Reporting. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to ensure compliance with federal regulations in relation to IRS Form 5500 and ERISA requirements. This role will actively participate in an environment of learning, experimentation, and interactive feedback that embraces change and innovation.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:



  • Estimated Salary:$65,000-$75,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of IRS Form 5500 for employee benefit plans in compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of annual reports, schedules, and attachments required by the IRS and Department of Labor.
  • Monitor the group inbox and respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements for employee plan reporting.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compliance reporting.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:



  • Strong knowledge of finance procedures preferably common to an insurance industry finance environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and create efficiencies for the team.
  • Desire to continually improve self while maintaining a curiosity to grow.
  • Strong problem-solving and judgment-making abilities.
  • Self-driven with demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and influence change with peers and business partners.
  • Ability to establish deadlines and execute them.
  • Associates in this position will travel quarterly to attend Finance and Actuarial activities such as conferences, collaboration sessions or team building meetings. This expectation applies to both local and remote employees, with travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.



PREFERRED:



  • Advanced level degree or equivalent experience in Finance related field.
  • Understanding of IRS Form 5500 and ERISA requirements for insurance business processes.
  • Designation specific to the Finance field.
