SNF Chemtall, a division of SNF Holding Company is currently seeking Industrial Cleaners. The Industrial cleaning team is responsible for ensuring SNF's grounds and equipment are cleaned according to plan. The Industrial Cleaner's responsibilities include: cleaning, draining, removing product from storage tanks, cleaning the interiors of boilers, removing chemical debris, and performing other duties assigned while complying with all safety standards and rules set by management.


Responsibilities

  • Scrapes and scrubs walls, using detergents, solvents, scrapers, and brushes to remove incrustations, scale, or deposits of residue or catalyst.
  • Drains tanks, connects hoses to water or steam lines, and sprays walls, roofs, and bottom of tanks to flush residue, such as oil, acid, grease, and sludge through tank openings.
  • Cleans interiors of boilers, storage tanks, industrial processing tanks, kilns, and tank and refrigerator railroad cars to remove emulsion and incrustations, using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water and solvents.
  • Sweeps up debris and shovels sludge into buckets, wheel barrows or down chutes for proper disposal and handling.
  • Removes chemical residues and other liquids from tank bottoms with squeegees or pump and suction hoses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, and comply with all safety standards and rules as set by management.
  • Operate forklift, Vacuum Truck, Pressure Washers, and Hydro Blasters as assigned by supervisor.
  • Department Specific: Must be clean-shaven according to company policy and facial hair guidelines for the use of a respirator.
  • Obtain & Maintain certifications for both Hazmat and Fire Brigade response teams. Additional Compensation for each certification awarded.
    • This includes completing annual and refresher training.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task, must be a quick learner and able to adapt to change.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 55 lbs.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of job at or above ground/floor level.
