What you will do:
The Vice President, Certification, leads PMI's certification exam function from design to operations, ensuring globally trusted and psychometrically sound professional examinations. This executive role is mission-critical to maintaining PMI's position as the world leader in certification excellence.
What you will bring to the role:
- Master's or Doctorate in Education, Psychology, Testing & Measurement, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in certification exam development or testing, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Certification Execution
- Proven ability to lead execution of complex, global high stakes exams
- Demonstrated experience transforming functions for operational focus, efficiency, and market leadership.
- Certification Exam Expertise
- Deep understanding of psychometrics, exam design and development methodologies, and global credentialing best practices.
- Experience managing exam content pipelines, including item development, translation, inventory management, and delivery readiness.
- Knowledge of ANSI 17024, ISO 9001, and other certification accreditation standards.
- Operational Excellence
- Strong command of certification exam operations, including test delivery logistics, issue management, vendor oversight, and customer support processes.
- Ability to implement processes and technologies that enhance reliability, scalability, and candidate experience.
- Skilled in coordinating cross-functional delivery with minimal handoffs and high accountability.
- Financial Management and Resource Planning
- Demonstrated excellence in managing multi-million-dollar functional budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to optimize spend, manage cost-to-serve, and align investments to strategic priorities.
- Experience using KPIs and financial data to inform decisions, drive accountability, and improve efficiency.
- Team and Culture Leadership
- Proven ability to build, lead, and retain inclusive, high-performing teams in complex, global organizations.
- Committed to fostering a positive team culture and empowering others through trust, clarity, and development.
- Strong change leadership and coaching skills across diverse functions.
