WAREHOUSE CLERK Reports to: Shift Supervisor Status: Full Time
Position Overview This position is responsible for assisting management in the organization of essential warehousing, shipping, and receiving duties. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Responsibilities Internal Material Control
- Provides necessary document(s) to forklift operators for order picks/staging/loading/unloading/storing of product and materials
- Processes paperwork (i.e. loading documents, etc.) and verifies accuracy of information
- Enters data in computer (i.e., BPCS, excel, etc.)
- Creates shipping BOLs
- Schedules appointments (i.e., pick-up/delivery)
- Sends/receives email related to status of shipping/receiving of product/materials
- Troubleshoots issues related to shipping/receiving of product/materials
- Documents all movement of product/materials (i.e., completing Direct Shipment Log, Loading-Staging Sheet, Lot Check Report, etc.)
- Monitors, documents, tracks, and takes appropriate action for specified Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, and prerequisite program requirements
- Reports food safety and/or quality issues to management when necessary
Maintenance of Office
- Files paperwork
- Answers phone/radio
- Orders/reorders necessary supplies
- Collect funds for pallets and late fees
- Copies paperwork when needed
- Runs reports as needed
Dock Management
- Checks in drivers arriving for pick-up/delivery
- Assigns dock door(s) for incoming product
- Assigns dock(s) for outgoing activity
- Assigns overflow activity and prioritizes loading/unloading activity
On-the-Job Training
- Internal material control
- Creating shipping Bills of Lading
- Receiving product from other locations and outside suppliers
- Maintenance of office
- Dock management
Other
- Responsible for monitoring, record keeping, and taking appropriate action for specified Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements
- Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management
Qualifications Education & Experience
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience * 1 year clerical experience * Knowledge of inventory control beneficial, but not required

- Computer proficient, Windows, BPCS
