The Design Engineering Principal role involves providing advice on major facility construction designs, leading the development and implementation of complex facility solutions, and ensuring the completeness and integrity of architectural strategies. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Minimum Experience Ten (10)+ years experience required of facility design experience, architectural engineering, material handling engineering or related area. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent research skills, and the ability to convert research into practical application. Strong ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to support organizational objectives and interact with all levels of personnel. Software skills, including use of, AutoCad, Revit, Microsoft Office software and Web Based Applications. Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals. Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions. Advanced design of steel structures, foundations, masonry and concrete. Job Conditions Some travel Required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience preferred in material handling design, facilities design roles, project management experience, design engineering management, and knowledge of N2.0 integration designs. Pay Transparency: Pay: $8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo Additional Details: This position must be domiciled in Pittsburgh, PA.
