Position Title: RECEIVING INSPECTOR Position Summary: Receiving Inspectors are responsible to safely inspect, verify, and keep records of incoming shipments and certification documents. Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Team Leader Personnel: Not applicable. Accountabilities: Perform receiving inspections within the guidelines of MTM's purchase order and the Manufacturing Routing to ensure all requirements for the shipped item(s) have been met. Conduct inspections in a timely manner setting appropriate priorities on items that are urgently needed on the shop floor. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area and to operate in a safe manner. Authorities: Determine the appropriate steps receiving inspections are to be executed and completed while staying within the procedures and work instructions set forth by MTM's Quality System. Job Qualification Requirements: Educational Experience - High School diploma or GED at a minimum; Between 6 months and 1 year of trade school or vocational education preferred. Experience - Previous inspection experience is desired but not required. Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
Certification Required - Fork truck and crane certification. Visual Acuity - Near acuity and accommodation are required for inspection operations, random visual checks, reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery.
