Warehouse Forklift Operator 2nd Shift

Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain company standards. Duties include picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and using pallet jack. Move materials safely in adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must possess or be capable of possessing and maintaining a forklift certification.

  • Must be able to operate a forklift in a safe manner.

  • Picking product and corrugating to production lines.

  • Wrap finished kitted product.

  • Label finished kitted product.

  • Complete put ways for finished kitted product.

  • Inspect pallets used for production.

  • Manage pallet storage area.

  • Operate and manage plastic and corrugate bailers.

  • Complete put ways for repacked product and corrugate.

  • Moving materials as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate and promote a solution based positive attitude in meeting goals and objectives.

  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained with an eye for detail.

  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment.

  • Utilize RF Scan Gun and Follow proper scanning procedures.

Job Specifications and Requirements:

  • Deliver quality products and services through adherence to company standards and operating procedures.

  • Must pass forklift written test and driving skills test.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment.

  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company safety Rules &Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Work Environment:

This job operates in a distribution environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups to a maximum of 50 pounds.

Other Essential Elements Not Listed Above include:

Reading, writing, basic English communication, basic math skills.

Machines/Tools Used:

Forklifts, electric and manual floor jacks, computer systems, and other department specific tools.
