Job Description

As Senior Director of Crypto Strategic Initiatives within Visa's Growth Products and Partnerships team, you will be responsible for driving execution of key strategic initiatives (or major workstreams within Initiatives) for Visa's crypto-related efforts. Example responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead large, cross-functional workstreams to deliver on Visa's crypto ambitions
  • Craft and execute end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) plans for new capabilities we are bringing to market, including but not limited to: market segmentation, value proposition & messaging, pricing and packaging, launch readiness, sales enablement, and post-launch optimization.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to align roadmap decisions with customer needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory trends, ensuring investments are prioritized for maximum commercial impact
  • Lead cross-functional launch squads (Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Operations, Legal, Finance) to deliver seamless product introductions, set adoption targets, and track key business metrics (e.g., revenue, transaction volume, ROI).
  • Provide rigorous ongoing project management support for large, cross-functional efforts, including:
    • Developing and maintaining overall project plans
    • Ensuring ongoing stakeholder engagement
    • Monitoring key dependencies, risks, and issues across the project(s)
    • Preparing project and executive communications on status of project
    • Facilitating issue resolution discussions
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of initiatives post-launch

Experience managing large scale programs and product launches preferred, including:

  • Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels

This role will require up to 20 % travel.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's and 14 years of relevant experience most likely found in payments / financial services focused management consulting role, strategy and / or operations roles at a crypto or payments company.
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic / professional experience
  • Typically requires 15+ years total experience with 6-8+ years of post-graduate experience in relevant area
  • Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments and / or crypto industry preferred
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling
  • Experience working with economic theories, strategic and prioritization frameworks, scenarios analysis, and competitive assessments. Knowledge of payment industry revenue drivers a play
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with functional and regional leaders within Visa
  • Commitment to continuous training and improvement of employees throughout the corporate strategy function
  • Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
Additional Information

Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 20% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 217,600.00 to 315,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
