HealthPartners has an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Specialty Care. Reporting to the VP of Medical Specialties, the Sr. Director will provide leadership for the Gastroenterology/Endoscopy, Pulmonary, Sleep Center, and Sleep DME departments across HealthPartners. This leader will work in close partnership with Department Chairs and Division Medical Directors to ensure exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and systemwide alignment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership skills, a proven ability to partner effectively with physicians, and a collaborative approach that fosters trust, accountability, and performance. This highly visible leader will serve as an ambassador across all hospitals and clinics, ensuring connection, communication, and consistency in how care is delivered across sites.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday business hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all assigned specialties, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with physicians and administrative leaders to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care delivery.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance initiatives to optimize resources and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a visible and accessible leader across all hospitals and clinics, promoting collaboration and engagement among teams.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance access, patient experience, quality outcomes, and value-based care performance.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional growth among staff.
  • Oversee specialty quality programs to ensure compliance and excellence in care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare finance, management, or operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field
  • Experience working in a large, integrated health system or multi-site operation
