Benefit Experience Solution Consultant

A Benefit Experience (BenX) Solution Consultant is a subject matter authority of the BenX solution. Solution Consultants work with Sales Executives in support of pre-sales activity such as prospect Q&A, engage with clients directly, support completion of materials, facilitate meetings with client prospects.

Once clients decide to move forward with the BenX strategy, solution consultants work with internal partners to ensure appropriate accountability for timely completion of results and ultimately the success of the client implementation! Solution Consultants also contribute to the continuous improvement, evolution and growth of the Aon Benefit Experience operational model.

This is a remote role with the flexibility to work virtually anywhere in the Continental United States

What the day will look like
  • Educate collaborators on the Aon Benefit Experience (BenX) offering and solution.
  • Educate clients and internal partners on the Aon Benefit Experience model and operations using client prevalence, and standard methodology. Respond to and deliver with quality on client goals. Meets delivery goals.
  • Works jointly with the Benefits Administration team, including the Implementation Manager and Client Communication Lead. Identify risks that could affect the project schedule and collaborates with other team leaders on subsequent mitigation strategies.
  • Handle client partners in coordination with aligned Benefits leadership and our business leadership.
  • Participate in building the foundation for scaling the business and operational model. Make valuable contributions to ongoing evolution of process design and quality management.
  • Participate in sales prospect process to support appropriate solution. Reviews discovery document outlining the detailed solution. Leads domain questions for bidder meetings and vendor questions to the client while assisting with Request For Proposal responses as needed. Conduct web/experience demo when warranted. You will also attend client meeting (Eg Finalist) if required.
  • Develop the client Statement of Work for the Aon BenX Services while partnering with the sales executive to complete and review deal model for deal review. Participates with sales executive on deal review call to answer solution and strategy questions from leadership. Work closely with the consultants and sales executives to ensure that clients transitioning into BenX are supported.
  • Own client relationship and all aspects of BenX delivery during implementation. Transition client relationship and support to the BenX Consultant for ongoing delivery.
  • Maintain expertise in all Health and BenX solutions products, services and operations. Articulates and communicates value proposition and key differentiators. Develops a high level of understanding of other practice areas, including benefits administration. Stays on top of new functionality improvements in Benefits Administration.
  • Integrates exchange solution with client third parties (e.g., Wellness) and carriers (PBM: e.g. CVS, ESI, Optum) within Statement of Work for BenX Services.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 7 or more years of experience leading large-scale benefits implementations, health and welfare or voluntary benefits preferred.
  • Strong consulting, influencing, and social skills.
  • Experience working across business divisions and handling high-level client partners. Experience achieving results through influencing resources outside your direct responsibility.
  • The ideal candidate will possess sufficient knowledge of industry standard processes to drive efficient delivery model and effective solutions.
  • We value strong business management process orientation to drive adherence to consistent delivery processes.
  • Travel an average of 20% depending on needs and locations of clients
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, management, and/or technical field and/or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Project management certification is a plus.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 - $170,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
