Aon is looking for a Senior Consultant, US Real Estate Research Team in San Francisco, CA

Do you enjoy collaborating with clients, industry experts, and fund managers to deliver innovative solutions? Are you passionate about real estate investment research? Our global manager research team comprises over 50 specialists, including more than 20 focused on private markets. Aon advises on over $100 billion of private markets assets globally.

As a Senior Consultant with Aon's US Real Estate Research Team, you will play a key role in conducting in-depth research and analysis on real estate funds, supporting client advisory work, and contributing to the ongoing monitoring of client portfolios. While the primary focus is on real estate, broader real asset experience (including infrastructure, timber and farmland) is highly desirable. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across private markets, with opportunities to participate in projects involving infrastructure and private equity as needed.

Currently, this is a hybrid role with three days mandatory in office but is subject to change.

What the day will look like

  • Conduct detailed due diligence and analysis of real estate funds and fund managers.
  • Monitor fund performance and assist in preparing client reports and recommendations.
  • Support client advisory work, including portfolio reviews and manager selection exercises.
  • Liaise with fund managers and internal stakeholders to gather, interpret, and communicate information.
  • Contribute to business development activities and support the preparation of pitch materials.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across private markets and other Aon teams.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate investment research, consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage directly with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A client-focused approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or a Business related study

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $111,000 to $163,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
