Durability Triage Engineer

Responsibilities include:



  • Support vehicle durability testing - providing initial triage for technical vehicle issues (electrical and powertrain)
  • Communicate durability issues to CTC personnel, sharing information freely and quickly
  • Increase on-road durability vehicle uptime
  • Develop/train individual team members
  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams to drive changes to improve products
  • Collaborate with Test Schedule Development on modified or new test schedules
  • Support team with vehicle triage on technical issues


Position is on-site 100% at Chelsea Proving Grounds

Basic Qualifications:



  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of auto industry experience, or related, experience
  • Strong understanding of automotive/vehicle fundamentals - specifically in electrical and powertrain
  • High level of problem solving and analytical skills
  • Should possess strong knowledge of corporate systems - Vector tools, Dealer Connect, CDA
  • Use of oscilloscope, fluke meter
  • High voltage trained - automotive
  • Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel & PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 10 years of auto industry experience, or related, experience
  • Strong knowledge of corporate systems - APTIV Qualifier, Vector tools, INCA, ISpeed, Dealer Connect, CDA
  • Strong knowledge in Can, Can FD, Ethernet and Lin protocol
  • Strong knowledge in Stellantis architecture
