DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a part-time, on-call Meal Transporter, you have the opportunity to deliver meals with a smile and greatly impact the lives of seniors through your conversation. With us you will manage multiple tasks, pay close attention to detail in challenging work environments, and stay organized to meet deadlines, as well as remain in contact with the senior center clerk to provide updates, concerns, and pertinent consumer information. Our team will rely on you to help us identify and meet the needs of the people we serve. Your responsibilities in this part-time role will include:
- Completing log sheets.
- Following sanitation and safety guidelines when handling meals (meals could weight up to 50 pounds).
- Ensuring hot or frozen food items are kept in compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Delivering food and/or meals using vehicle. (Average 150 miles per day).
- Moving hot, bulk and/or frozen meals from loading dock.
- Transporting meals or surplus/pantry food.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time, on-call employment, 12 to 18 hours per week.
- Workday typically begins at 6:30 AM and concludes when all meals for the day are delivered.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Conditions of Employment:
- No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
