Summary:

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of innovative, user-centered learning experiences that drive knowledge retention, skill development, and behavioral change across the enterprise. You will shape the learning experience strategy, lead a high-performing team, and partner with executives to align learning initiatives with organizational goals. You will apply deep expertise in instructional design, user experience, and learning technologies while maintaining a strong focus on measurement, analytics, and ROI to ensure learning solutions deliver measurable impact and long-term workforce capability growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the enterprise learning experience strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and talent priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and senior stakeholders on workforce development, skills enablement, and learning innovation.
  • Establish governance, standards, and frameworks for learning design, measurement, and evaluation across the enterprise.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to expand learning impact and innovation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Learning Experience Designers and related professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship on best practices in instructional design, data-driven evaluation, and emerging learning technologies.
  • Oversee the design and development of learner-centered instructional resources, including eLearning, blended programs, leadership development, and performance support solutions.
  • Design and implement a learning measurement framework that evaluates program effectiveness, business outcomes, and ROI.
  • Shape the learning technology strategy to optimize platforms for learner engagement, personalization, and analytics.
  • Identify and scale emerging technologies that enhance learning innovation and the overall learner journey.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise learning experience or instructional design functions.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory, design thinking, and learning technology platforms (LMS, LXP, AI-enabled tools).
  • Strong understanding of measurement models such as Kirkpatrick or Phillips ROI.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience integrating emerging technologies such as AI, VR, or adaptive learning into learning programs.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and align learning strategies with business outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
