Position Highlights |
The Eller College of Management is seeking a dynamic and motivated Recruiter, Graduate Programs to join our recruitment team. This position will be based in the Greater Phoenix metro area, with regular office presence in both downtown Phoenix and Chandler and will play a critical part in expanding Eller's presence and impact in the Greater Phoenix area. This hybrid position combines traditional recruitment functions-managing and nurturing prospective student leads-with community and corporate engagement. The recruiter will serve as a local ambassador for Eller's graduate programs, with primary responsibility for recruiting for the following Eller programs:
- Executive MBA (Downtown Phoenix)
- Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA - Downtown Chandler)
- Online Master's in MIS
- Online Master's in Cybersecurity
- Other programs when the need arises
In addition to student recruitment, this position will collaborate closely with the University of Arizona's Eller Partnership Office (EPO) and other teams located in downtown Phoenix and Chandler to strengthen relationships with employers, professional organizations, and community groups to build sustainable pipelines of qualified graduate students. Duties & Responsibilities |
Recruitment & Lead Management - 50%
- Proactively
engage with prospective students through phone, email, text, virtual meetings, and in-person consultations. - Manage
inquiries and applications in the CRM, provide consistent and personalized communication from interest through enrollment. - Conduct
admissions consultations, information sessions, and one-on-one meetings to guide candidates through program offerings, requirements, and outcomes. - Coordinate with
other Eller teams to engage applicants (e.g., site visit, sit in classes) to motivate enrollment. - Collaborate
with other Eller recruiters and program directors to ensure seamless handoff and follow-up throughout the admissions funnel.
Community & Corporate Outreach - 35%
- Partner with Eller
college staff in Phoenix and Chandler to expand employer pipelines and strengthen local engagement. - Represent Eller
Graduate Programs at corporate offices, community events, career fairs, and professional organizations. - Collaborate
with corporate relations colleagues on joint employer initiatives such as tuition or application benefits, professional development workshops, and networking. - Host and
coordinate recruitment events in Phoenix, Chandler, and surrounding areas, ensuring professional representation of Eller graduate programs.
Collaboration & Strategy - 15%
- Serve as the
local connector between the Phoenix metro area business community and Eller's Tucson-based recruitment and academic leadership teams. - Provide market
insights from the Phoenix area, including competitor activity, corporate needs, and community connection opportunities. - Track, measure,
and report on recruitment and outreach activities, evaluating impact and ROI of efforts. - Contribute to
the continuous improvement of recruitment strategies for graduate programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated
ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders in professional and academic settings. - Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to groups and individuals. - Strong
organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Self-starter
able to work independently in the Phoenix metro area while staying connected to the Tucson-based team.
Work Environment & Travel
- This position
is based in Phoenix/Chandler and requires frequent local travel to corporate sites and community events. - Close
collaboration with other Eller staff in downtown Phoenix and Chandler is expected. - Occasional
travel to the University of Arizona main campus in Tucson will be required. - Evening and
weekend work may be required to support events and outreach activities. - This position
would split in-office time between the Phoenix and Chandler campuses. - Work location
mix is expected to be one day in our Downtown Phoenix office, one day in the Downtown Chandler location, and 3 days remote.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, or corporate engagement.
- Established professional network in Phoenix/Chandler area.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) and digital recruitment tools.
- Experience of graduate business education trends and market needs.
- Experience in higher education.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
