Position Summary
The Business Systems Administrator (BSA) is a core member of the OTECH Support Services Team. The BSA will directly administrate the management, or support the administrative management for critical OTECH platforms, systems, and software tools. The BSA will proactively evaluate existing systems and tools to ensure optimum performance and compliance with OTECH, ADTech, OII, Government regulations. The BSA will proactively work with various other OTECH functions to ensure systems and tools are meeting current and projected future needs and will identify shortcomings or opportunities for improvement. The BSA will ensure compliance regarding OTECH's policies, operations, tools, and procedures. The BSA will advise OTECH management on opportunities to enhance operations and will assist in their implementation. The BSA will work with other technical analysts, OTECH Program and Business managers, as well as Oceaneering Information Technology branches to investigate and promote efficient and harmonic integrations between business functions, business policies, and business systems. The BSA is a hybrid position located in Hanover, MD.
Duties And Responsibilities
The System Support Analyst will execute the following tasks:
- Assist in efforts to help develop and implement various business systems at OTECH.
- This position will specifically focus on OTECH's Product Data Management system (PDM). The BSA will provide PDM
- Administrative support, working closely with OTECH Configuration Management and other business functions, as well as OII
- Engineering solutions
- The BSA will evaluate and monitor current and future PDM activities, and ensure:
- System optimal performance
- Compliant access and permission requirements
- Effective task host management
- Effective workflow construction, management, and obsolescence
- Data cards and data collection
- Data and project archiving
- Proper and timely notifications
- Provide technical support
- User training and refreshes as appropriate
- System upgrades
- Add-ins, connectors, and external integrations and compatibilities
- Project templates and new project construction
- Overall directory structure
- Administrate and maintain all OTECH PDM vaults.
- Participate in PDM-to-PDM data transfers.
- Proactively monitor operations related process, tools, and other technologies to ensure OTECH compliance and optimal efficiencies.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Assure effective communication within the teams, and with supporting groups, and ensure that all key information is properly disseminated among the stakeholders.
- Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Lead and perform user acceptance testing.
- Update, implement, and maintain PDM procedures.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Design and participate in process efficiencies.
- Support other Technical Analysts in support of efforts, including but not limited to:
- Enovia 3DX
- SharePoint
- Costpoint
- Additional Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 8 to 12 years of practical experience in systems technical support or a related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience leading and developing top performing teams.
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
DESIRED:
- SolidWorks PDM Administrator Professional Certification (CPAP).
- 2-4 years participating in PDM administration.
- OII qualified Business Unit Administrator (BUA).
- SolidWorks experience.
- Work experience with US Department of Defense.
- May be widely recognized for achievements, technical expertise, and professional standing within selected field.
- Project Technical Analyst experience.
Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need. PAY, BENEFITS AND WORK SCHEDULE: We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Annualized pay rate for this position : $127,500 - $172,500.
