Our team protects Microsoft, its people, and assets in more than 170 countries. We are looking to hire a Regional Security Manager to join our Global Security team. In this role, The Regional Security Manager - Americas Security Operations candidate shall be responsible for managing a diversified portfolio of services within the security risk operations remit. This Regional Security Manager - Americas Security Operations role will be pivotal in supporting the Microsoft Global Security Leadership team and will collaborate closely with the internal and external stakeholders globally. The Regional Security Manager - Americas Security Operations will be responsible for providing program management support within the global security team globally with emphasis on life safety, risk reporting and delivering operational excellence. The Regional Security Manager - Americas Security Operations will partner with security teams across multiple service lines and leverage Microsoft's world-class products and services to develop and deliver innovative and industry-leading risk and physical security solutions in a close, team-oriented, inclusive, and diverse environment.
ResponsibilitiesSecurity Risk Management: Anticipate and address security threats by gathering, analyzing, and evaluating information about existing, or potential threats to determine the likelihood of a Microsoft infrastructure, business, people, and assets, being targeted. Monitor and manage the development of current, emerging, and evolving threats with the likelihood of impacting Microsoft infrastructure, business, people, and assets. Anticipate and address assets or operations where security is not adequate and can be exploited by a threat. Evaluate geopolitical activities and events and synthesize key intelligence to inform internal and external stakeholder constituents or employees of potential threats. Inform, escalate, and manage the risks to appropriate teams. Security Services: Develop and execute procedures and processes to provide protection across all security disciplines (e.g., personnel and company property, day-to-day damage, vandalism, loss prevention, security-related risk programs, personnel privacy) by meeting required codes and regulations. Maintain records, manuals, and documentation related to security. Administer organizational security plans and operations. Internally, provide training on security protocols, operating standards, and response requirements. Develop and execute troubleshooting guides and standard monitoring procedures to oversee daily activities across networks and systems. Perform analysis to detect advanced security threats, alerts, or risks and escalate to critical incident response team and/or external authorities, if necessary. Implement and assist in developing security protocols to support the physical protection of company personnel and assets. Deliver and maintain security programs in areas of responsibility. Measure impact of security programs in areas of responsibility. Manage delivery of day-to-day today security activities in the areas of responsibilities (e.g., event security risk management, travel security support, visitor management, security patrols). Deliver specialized physical security services for larger regions. Prepare for and respond to security and life-safety threats, incidents, alerts, and risks. Leadership and Communication: Develop public, private, and supplier partnerships. Engage with the stakeholders (e.g., human resources [HR], suppliers, maintenance) and communicate risk assessment findings. Coordinate activities with HR, legal, and authorities having jurisdiction as appropriate.Consult stakeholders to provide security capabilities. Collaborate with teams to implement risk management frameworks for identifying and controlling security risks across the Microsoft portfolio. Anticipate and address global insecurity and security disruption (e.g., life safety, business operations, reputation) to drive decision-makers in mitigating risks and responding to residual risks. Summarize and report risk analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders and leaders. Advise on strategy to mitigate and respond to residual risks based on its team's anticipation of global insecurity and physical disruption (e.g., life safety, business operations, reputation) within Microsoft. Facilitate discussions with internal and external program leaders to establish a strategic vision and service model to improve security operations. Communicate security-related strategy to the respective suppliers and internal clients. Facilitate discussions with leaders regarding resource and budget allocations to prepare annual expense reports. Develop and iterate purchase contracts and agreements within authorized limits. Identify innovation and technology improvements and contribute to the development of new security delivery-related applications and processes.Other:Embody our culture and values
