OverviewAs a Software Engineer II in the Host Networking and Hardware Acceleration team, you will contribute to software and hardware co-design to enable reliable and high-performance networking for Microsoft Azure hosts. The Virtualized Ethernet Driver team focuses on developing and operating virtualized networking driver stacks for Azure, including workloads that use artificial intelligence (AI).This role offers the opportunity to work on distributed systems, low-level programming, operating system internals, virtualization, and large-scale systems. You will apply principles of performant design and robust testing methodologies while collaborating with a team that owns one of the most impactful services in the world.We are looking for Software Engineer II who is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesWorks with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service fordegradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. | |
