Environmental Health & Safety Job Description
This mid-level position is designed for an experienced environmental health and safety professional who will provide comprehensive laboratory safety support to the campus research, veterinary, and medical communities. The role requires applying advanced knowledge and sound judgment to support compliance, promote safety, and deliver expert guidance across a wide range of environmental health and safety programs. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a related or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. degree in a related or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three (3) years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience, including exposure to chemical inventory management and inspection disciplines. Prior laboratory experience or familiarity with laboratory operations and safety practices. Familiarity with chemical inventory systems and strong awareness of chemical hazard management, including hazardous materials challenges common in higher education, research, veterinary, or healthcare environments. Demonstrated proficiency in business writing, reporting, and use of spreadsheet and data management software. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a diverse campus population, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Must currently possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days, a valid Missouri Driver's License. Anticipated Hiring Range
