We are hiring for a Senior Capacity Analyst to support our Space Geospatial Operations organization. This position will report the Director of Constellation Capacity Management and will support the broader organization with satellite capacity modeling and operational analytics. This hybrid position will support standard business hours and can be based in Westminster or Longmont. Overtime and after-business hours support may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze satellite capacity availability and utilization to assist Vantor teams with optimizing revenue generation from its satellite constellation.
  • Ensure stakeholders have awareness of available and required capacity for emerging and current business requirements
  • Review capacity utilization trends to diagnose and mitigate degraded performance
  • Assess the risks and opportunities of the proposed capacity allocation changes
  • Develop feasibility and modeling skillsets in the Collection Planning and Operations Analyst teams
  • Focus on quality and process improvements to allow maximum efforts on operational analysis and decision making
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships directly with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensure that the right tools and processes are in place to generate capacity planning analysis and performance monitoring

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or other quantitative field
  • At least 3 years of experience in quantitative analytics role, working across multiple stakeholders, teams or businesses
  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
  • Ability to be efficient and work independently while also being able to collaborate effectively in a group setting, organize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Demonstrable critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability and confidence to make conclusions and recommendations for action from data
  • Experience building easily digestible data visualizations, dashboards and reports (e.g. Tableau)
  • Advanced experience querying data (SQL), scripting (Python) and ad hoc analysis (Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, GIS, Data Science, Finance, or other quantitative field
  • Experience with SaaS product data analytics
  • Experience with geospatial data: ArcGIS, STK, MATLAB, python scripting
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel
  • Very strong skills with Excel and other MS office applications
  • Active team player and works well under pressure
  • Creativity in solving complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in support of team objectives

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
