Lead and implement long-term sourcing strategies for direct and indirect categories across North America. Streamline price negotiations and drive cost-reduction initiatives with fairness and transparency. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with suppliers. Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and foster innovation. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and high service standards. Drive supplier performance through strategic planning, pricing discussions, and regular reviews for SLA adherence. Partner cross-functionally to guide category activities and promote continuous improvement. Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, including regulatory, quality, and geopolitical concerns. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management, preferably in energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors. Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier lifecycle management, and contract requirements. Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, SAP 4 HANA). Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with risk management, supplier audits, and compliance with global standards (e.g., ISO, REACH, RoHS). Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
