Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Surgical Days Full Time Clinton Township

Unique opportunity for an APP to work in the operating room at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital!

• Hours will flex between 7- 17:30, no weekends.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be assisting in surgery and closing.
• First Assisting experience is preferred.
• Wound closure experience is required
• The Surgical PA or NP will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• APP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first-line provider to patients and their families.
• Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders, and interprets tests, makes diagnoses, and institutes appropriate treatment programs.
• NP or PA will work in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other medical care team members to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. First or second assist in surgical cases.
