Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree
Experience: 5-7 years of related professional experience
Licenses/Certifications: Active and valid license for the state
Preferred Qualifications
UHC Minimum:
*Georgia Registered Dental Hygienist License ( RDH),
* AHA HealthCare Provider BLS certification

UHC Preferred:
*Experience with Eaglesoft and electronic health records
*Experience with or knowledge of Joint Commission facilities and guidelines
Position Summary
This position performs dental prophylactic treatments and instructs groups and individuals in care of teeth and mouth. This position performs all duties under the supervision of the Lead Dentist.

Patient Care:
* Updates medical/dental history, initiates examination, updates radiographs when appropriate, records and charts findings, provides oral hygiene instruction and prophylaxis.
* Demonstrates clinical competence as determined daily by observation of supervising dentist.
* Demonstrates understanding of age-specific needs of patients.

* Implements infection prevention and control standards and guidelines established by the UHC, CDC, ADA, and Joint Commission.
