CNC Machine Operator

A CNC machine operator monitors and maintains computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce precise parts and tools from various materials like metal and plastic. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints, calibrating and programming machines, loading raw materials, performing quality inspections and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure high quality output according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation:

Studying and understanding blueprints and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing process.

• Material Handling:

Loading raw materials, such as metal and plastic, into the machines for processing

• Maintenance

Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor machine problems, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment

• Monitoring and Adjusting

Monitoring machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision and leading test runs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of CNC software and hardware, including knowledge of different machine types (e.g.3 axis, 5-axis) and programming (e.g G.code)

• Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

• Mathematical Skills:

Strong mathematical abilities for calculations related to machining

• Attention to detail:

A meticulous approach to ensure precision and adherence to strict tolerances
