Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $58,240 - $68,640/year Shift: 3rd Hours: 10:00pm - 7:00am (Thursday - Friday), 6:00pm - 6:00am (Saturday - Sunday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? This is a direct hire position for 3rd shift. Apply today! Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Follow guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), uniform and dress code and product safety requirements - Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, keeping work area clean and safe at all times - Support company policies and be safety conscious at all times - Address or report safety concerns immediately - Ensure equipment is lubricated properly by checking and greasing equipment - Check bearings, chains, and belts for abnormal wear - Perform preventative maintenance as needed - Troubleshoot and repair equipment - Facility maintenance - Perform light plumbing, carpentry and mechanical tasks - Assist with mechanical breakdowns - Assist in the maintenance and repair of the grounds - Remove trash, sweep walkways, and shovel snow - Operate forklifts, manlifts and boomlifts Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - High School Diploma or GED and one to three years related experience to become familiar with equipment and processes - Mechanical aptitude and technical skills - Skilled in the use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devices - Basic electrical skills including use of voltmeters, ohmmeters and pipe benders - Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems - Forklift experience - Capable of operating man lifts and boom lifts - Ability to read and write English - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos - Ability to write simple correspondence - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions - Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
