Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Buffalo, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Under the direction of a more Senior Project Manager, manages multiple small-sized projects.
  • Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorised project changes as defined in the change management plan and facilitate customer acceptance.
  • Ensure familiarity with the scope and project objectives and establish clear rules and responsibilities for project team members.
  • Projects may be of a technical and nontechnical nature.
  • Develop a project plan, forecast and schedule.
  • Work with stakeholders to record detailed project requirements, constraints, and assumptions to establish project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.
  • Ensure plans for assigned projects include a work breakdown, project organisation chart, cost/budget, and plans for communication, risk, quality, and resources.
  • Communicate project plans to affected parties to ensure a common understanding, set expectations and align stakeholders and project team members.
  • Ensure execution of tasks defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals.
  • Execute all parts of the project plan and manage the budget/forecast.
  • Monitor and control project work, including change controls.
  • Measure project performance utilising appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify and quantify variances; complete any needed corrective actions and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Implement approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events.
  • Enhance project team performance by fostering team cohesiveness, providing leadership, mentoring, training, and motivation to team members, thereby facilitating cooperation, ensuring project efficiency, and boosting morale.
  • Support larger project initiatives working under the direction of higher management.
  • Under the direction of a more senior Project Manager, manages smaller projects, with responsibility for all aspects of the projects, from initiation to close.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand.
  • Maintain client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Allocates work as a team leader, checks on completion/quality.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $48.79 /hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general management, project analysis or project management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in building/utilising JIRA Dashboards/Power BI for tracking against the project plan.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and responsibility of each team member, to effectively coordinate team activities.
  • Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to organise multiple delivery teams to meet deadlines.
