Position Overview
The Commercial Effectiveness & Analytics Intern is responsible for analyzing the performance of the brand and the execution of the commercial channels as well as supporting sales teams with the right tools to be successful. The tasks include strategizing, processing, and organizing data, synthesizing data, performing descriptive and predictive analyses, and creating reporting dashboards to provide key insights to business partners within commercial organizations to inform business decisions. This individual will also partner with sales leadership to advance the tools the team uses in the field. The team deploys a variety of analytical software and techniques that the analyst will be able to simultaneously use and learn.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Use descriptive and advanced analytics methods to generate actionable insights from large quantities of third party and/or enterprise data.
- Create and communicate the story through the data, using appropriate visualizations.
- Collaborate with Commercial team members to identify performance KPIs and create automated reports to track those KPIs.
- Partner with commercial leaders and sales team members to understand how to enhance their toolset including CRM (customer relationship manager), dashboards, and client-facing reports.
- Consistently build effective relationships with team members and clients.
- Contribute to and support data management efforts that enable data to be used for business reporting and analytics.
- Process and synthesize complex data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Results orientated and strong initiative; convey a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure. Ability to positively contribute and adapt to change and operate in a dynamic organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Actively seeking Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other field related to the essential duties.
- Experience with writing SQL queries.
- Data visualization experience in past roles or course work. Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to apply qualitative or quantitative business analysis while leveraging primary or secondary data.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and leverage multiple data sources.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience working with or within a Commercial Organization Relational data models.
- Working experience with the following platforms: Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.).
- Data preparation / processing tool (e.g. any of SQL, Alteryx, Tableau Prep etc.).
- Atatistical tool (e.g. any of R, SAS, Python etc.)

Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $56,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
