Maintenance Specialist (part time)

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced part-time Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team. This person will be responsible to provide quality mechanical and electrical maintenance service by troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment primarily for our Electro-Plating division in our employee-owned manufacturing company.

We are a leader in our industry, providing the highest quality precision manufactured solutions for a variety of products and industries. This part-time Maintenance Specialist will play an important role in helping to keep our machinery & facilities operating safely and efficiently. Penn United Technologies currently employs over 650 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company, located about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh in Butler County.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Specialist:



  • Troubleshoot, install components, and perform electrical & mechanical repairs on electro plating machinery and plating baths.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electro plating equipment and lines. Ensure all routine & scheduled maintenance is completed on time and documented.
  • Relocate & install equipment for plating lines
  • Fabricate needed parts for equipment repairs
  • Part-time hours would be 6:30 am - 3:00 pm; two or three days/week



Qualifications

Qualifications for the Maintenance Specialist:



  • Minimum of 5 years prior maintenance experience is required.
  • Candidates should have prior experience with rectifiers, pumps, heat exchangers, motors and bearings.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with and have a strong focus on working safely around chemicals.
  • Candidates must have prior general knowledge and experience with electrical work and 3 phase wiring.
  • Prior machining experience with lathes and milling machines strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Thorough knowledge of methods, tools, practices & safety measures related to mechanical and electrical work
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Candidates must be able to stand / walk for an 8 hour day and perform occasional lift of 50 lbs.
