UCI Transportation and Distribution Services oversees all transportation planning, parking, fleet and mail services, document management and passport services at the University of California, Irvine. Your Role on the Team

Supervises and coordinates the work of staff responsible for providing mail and distribution services across campus. Closely oversees daily operations, including the long-term storage warehouse, distribution activities, and ethanol alcohol deliveries. Performs assigned responsibilities within established guidelines and under a moderate level of oversight. Provides direction to staff to ensure assignments are completed in alignment with policies, procedures, and standards. Requires comprehensive knowledge of the functional area. This position is fully on-site and requires 100% in-person presence.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to explain program polices and processes, actively listen and advise.
  • Organizational skills to coordinate staff schedules and unit operations.
  • Proficiency in all software applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 3-5 years Relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of mail, package, shipping, and express services operations, as well as related policy and regulatory compliance requirements from postal and other services, domestic and international.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and advising employees. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others.
  • Familiarity with United States Postal Services regulations
  • Forklift Certification
  • 1-3 years Prior experience in mail services

Special Conditions:

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Subject to the California DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program

Total Compensation

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $55,400-$72,280 (annually).
