JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Duties:

Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Computer and Information Systems Manager (Manager, Data Governance), responsible for building out the governance practice at FOX. This role involves implementing and enforcing data standards, managing data catalogs, and facilitating data access to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BI, analytics, engineering, product, and SMEs to drive data-driven decision-making and promote a data-centric culture. Specific duties include: 1) Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization. 2) Establish and enforce data standards, including naming conventions, data formats, and meta data requirements, to maintain consistency and promote data sharing. 3) Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive data catalog, ensuring accurate documentation and organization of all data assets. 4) Manage data access controls, ensuring that data is accessible to the appropriate stakeholders while maintaining security and privacy requirements. 5) Monitor and track data quality issues and collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to resolve them. 6) Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on data governance best practices and tools. 7) Lead data governance training and awareness initiatives, promoting a data-centric culture within the organization. 8) Continuously evaluate and improve data governance processes, staying current with industry trends and best practices. Telecommuting is permitted up to 50%/week within normal commuting distance of Fox office in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related field, plus three (3) years of IT experience in data quality, data observability, data engineering and data architecture, including experience in data governance; data warehousing; business intelligence; and working on ETL and Life Cycle Development from requirement analysis and design to data modeling, development and testing.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Experience in change management; 2) Knowledge of product and project management; 3) Knowledge of modern data platforms and designs including data lake, lake house and data mesh; 4) Knowledge of data governance tools and platforms such as Collibra, data catalogs, data dictionaries and data lineage solutions; 5) Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouses such as Snowflake and Teradata; 6) Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Grafana and Splunk; and 7) Domain knowledge of media industry

Telecommuting is permitted up to 50%/week within normal commuting distance of Fox office in Los Angeles, CA.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $191,000.00-210,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
