Job Summary

The Civil & Commercial Contracts Administrator (Contracts Administration Staff III) will be responsible for coordinating and conducting all activities related to the many stages of the contract lifecycle, beginning with proposal preparation and submission, to preparing, negotiating, administering, and closing out contracts. This position is responsible for successful contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. This role supports multiple Systems Groups as an integral team member, helping prepare and submit cost proposals, including coordinating and reviewing labor and ODC estimates, proposal terms, and other documents, as required. This role advises management of contractual rights and obligations, compiles and analyzes contractual terms, and develops recommendations to internal and external customers on how best to fulfill contractual requirements, successfully deliver Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs), and abide by all regulatory and statutory obligations.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our facility in Chantilly, VA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or other government agency procurement regulation analysis, evaluation of impact to contract terms, and review of Aerospace functional area responsibilities
  • Draft negotiation position recommendations
  • Negotiate, prepare, review and revise contracts in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide information, interpretation, and analysis on contractual requirements
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that help find efficiencies and ensure timely contract actions
  • Develop documents and content required for the publishing of contractual details across multiple internal systems
  • Provide information regarding contract procedures, terms, and requirements to both internal and external customers
  • Attend Program Management Reviews in person at customer site or via telecon from Chantilly office
  • Coordinate with Business Management team on Limitation of Funds Notifications and other funding actions
  • Coordinating with Aerospace Government Property Department and submitting quarterly Government Property Reports
  • Plan, develop, prepare, and administer proposals, contracts, and grants, including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, and Other Transaction Agreements
  • Administer contract and/or grant performance by analyzing and interpreting performance requirements, special provisions, modifications, and terms and conditions

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Contracts Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3 or more years of federal contracts management experience
  • Understanding of FAR, and other government laws and regulations
  • Understanding and experience managing all contract types, including Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts with Task Orders, Cost-Type Contracts, and Research & Development Contracts
  • Willingness to travel on occasion
  • This position requires a current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
