Job Description

Location Profile:

Located in Gardena, California, Permaswage designs and manufactures separable and permanent fluid fittings and installation tooling for aerospace and defense applications.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the passion and energy to leave their mark by the end of their Co-op term. Your duties will include extensive data analysis, including report preparation. You will design and source various product brochures and other marketing materials. This position does not include social media campaigns, analysis or content creation as we do not go to market via social media.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Analysis - 75%

  • Conduct in depth data analysis and market research utilizing internal and external data
  • Compile data from distribution customers to identify end-user market behavior
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to share your analysis, conclusions and recommendations
  • Data analysis portion of this role does not include any social media engagement analysis

Marketing Materials - 25%

  • Develop product catalogs
  • Develop training service brochures
  • Research and recommend giveaways for customers

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to accept position as a minimum of 3-month full time assignment or part-time (20+hours/week) for 6 months
  • Must be able to work during core business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited residential college or university (not on-line university)
  • Must be at least sophomore level working towards a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, mass communications or other related fields of study
  • Zero to 2 years of related experience and / or classes or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have some type demonstrated interest in the Marketing function
  • We will also consider recent graduates and master's degree students

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical / analytics skills and experience
  • Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proactive; strong bias for action with the initiative to dig deeper into assignments and exceed expectations
  • Ability to prioritize well and tackle challenges enthusiastically and with professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach
  • Communication and interpersonal skills that support your ability to work at all levels of the business and with diverse functional groups
  • Ability to work independently and apply good judgment
  • Comfortable working in a technical and manufacturing environment
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Ability to create and share engaging content, including text, images, and videos that promote the company's brand is a plus
  • Experience with marketing and market requirements analysis is a plus
  • Interest in real world technology and manufacturing is a plus
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Prior internship(s), group or personal project exposure and / or work experience is strongly desired

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.00 to $26.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
