Job Description
PCG is looking for talented students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our Corporate Headquarters in Lenexa, KS! This is a full-time paid internship supporting our Human Resources Department during the summer of 2026.
The Human Resources Internship offers a practical, hands-on experience within a national construction company, providing visibility into how HR supports large-scale operations across multiple regions. Over the course of ten weeks, you'll work alongside experienced HR professionals and gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle-from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, systems, compliance, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in multiple steps of the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, coordinating phone interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Learn about employment law, compliance, and confidentiality, and how they impact HR decision-making and file management.
- Support the company's ongoing commitment to safety and employee well-being through exposure to drug testing and substance abuse prevention programs.
- Gain insight into the collaboration between HR and Payroll, including new hire onboarding, termination processing, and reporting.
- Maintain data accuracy through audits and administrative management of HR systems, including our Human Capital Management (HCM) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Partner with HR team members in various roles, such as HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Systems Analysts, and HR Administrators, to understand the breadth of the HR function.
- Learn the fundamentals of benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

Basic Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (graduating December 2026 or later)
- Available full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 weeks during Summer 2026
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to jump in and learn
- Ready to take initiative and contribute to a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

- Located within the Kansas City metropolitan area
