The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Regional Director and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $34.00

Location: Collegeville, PA or King of Prussia, PA

Shift:Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What we're looking for:

  • Education:High school diploma or GED required; Undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Logistics or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in procurement, order management, or business operations required.
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, account management, or data analysis preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (expert level); experience with SAP and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data tools like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Understanding of contracts and formal problem-solving methods is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and forward-thinking.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

  • Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards (supporting material planning, open orders, KPIs, etc.).
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data quality checks.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Resolve complex and/or escalated issues regarding critical products and data sets.
  • Support expert-level control, execution, and process improvement within a quality inventory management program (consumables, chemicals, samples, etc.), including accurate inventory control, fulfilling customer metric reporting, and providing detailed analyses.
  • Consult with customer production lines and manufacturing groups to understand demand forecasts; schedule material lots and review pricing as applicable.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and supplier for product sourcing.
  • Enter inventory, purchasing, and QC data into applicable Avantor and customer systems; assist in 3rd-party vendor and item set-up.
  • Reviews and interprets contracts.
  • Responsible for standing order set-up and maintenance within Avantor and customer systems for planning.
  • Provides audit support and general Customer Service assistance as needed: order processing, quotes, sample requests, returns, part number updates, billing resolution, or other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies within the scope of work.
  • Implementation Project Manager for Basic Projects
  • Determine optimal functions to implement based on the customer's current processes and proposed enhancements to offer efficiencies.
  • Oversee the project team to complete implementation.
  • Build Inventory Manager instances
  • Manage onsite and offsite implementations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support business operations and customer satisfaction.
