Employees in this classification will not be eligible for University Benefits. Position Summary: The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care is looking for an PRN Senior Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings.This position will primarily be assigned to the adult inpatient acute care setting.  Weekday and Weekend hours are available.  Required Qualifications: 
 
     
 A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor's degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibilityDemonstrated clinical education abilities and leadership is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
 
 Licenses/Certifications: 
 
     
 Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
 
 Desirable Qualifications: 
 
     
 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist3+ years of experience in one or more of the following patient care specialties in acute care setting including ICU, cardiology, burn, orthopedicsDemonstrates leadership abilitiesDemonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical teamJob related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence
