Waste Water

• Mixes chemicals for water treatment or uses premixed chemicals.
• Maintains water treatment work and production records.
• Rakes sludge beds and shovels dry sludge for disposal. Follows correct procedures to avoid wasting dirt.
• Takes periodic samples of the cement clear water pond and maintains accurate sampling records.
• Performs minor maintenance on the equipment such as the pumps and baler.
• Dumps waste, pressure washes, scrapes bed walls, paints, and performs other housekeeping duties in the environmental area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Basic math skills are required to be able to measure chemicals, understand gauges, and determine the amount of water used.
• Reading and writing skills are necessary to be able to keep accurate records and to read formulas and procedures.
• Must be able to follow the chemical formulas.
