        Science Department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty with a passion for teaching and content expertise in Cell Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology. The initial focus of teaching responsibilities will be in BI 112, Cell Biology for Health Occupations, which is the prerequisite to the 3-course Human Anatomy and Physiology series (BI 231, 232, and 233). 
        
 This is an application pool posting for 2025-2026, starting Fall 2025. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College main campus located in Eugene, Oregon.Classes may include 100-level Cell Biology and 200-level Anatomy & Physiology, depending on department needs.Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach, and use teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.

      | Physical Demands/Working Environment: | Work safely in classroom and laboratory settings; may be exposed to hazardous conditions. This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform computer work in the form of word processing, data entry, spreadsheet work, and web-based research for more than six (6) hours a day.
