Part-Time Social Media Specialist (Contract)

Up to 20 Hours a week between 9 AM and 5PM, Monday - Friday

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, with a focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical social media management. The top priority for this role is expertise in paid advertising platforms, including campaign execution, optimization, and invoice reconciliation. The ideal candidate will also have experience with social listening tools (e.g., Meltwater, Rival IQ) to track online conversations, trends, and competitive insights, all while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations in highly regulated industries. This role will support both reporting and administrative needs, including helping to populate monthly and quarterly performance reports (social listening and paid media) and managing billing processes tied to social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube).

Key Responsibilities:



  • Execute and optimize paid and organic social campaigns, with a strong focus on managing paid advertising platforms.
  • Reconcile platform invoices and support monthly billing processes, including accessing, organizing, and tracking invoices from social platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (social strategist, media, account teams, and agency partners) to ensure cohesive execution of campaigns.
  • Populate and deliver monthly/quarterly reports (e.g., paid media performance, social listening insights) via presentation decks.
  • Monitor online conversations, social dialogues, trends, and competitor activity using social listening tools (Meltwater, Rival IQ, or similar).
  • Stay updated on social platform regulations (e.g., new Meta guidelines) and healthcare/pharma compliance standards to ensure all activity adheres to industry requirements.
  • Support administrative tasks associated with contracts, job openings, and reconciliations.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of social media strategy experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven expertise in paid social campaign management, optimization, and platform invoice reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with social listening and analytics platforms (Meltwater, Rival IQ, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of organic social growth tactics and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with evolving social media regulations and healthcare compliance is strongly preferred.
