Maintenance Mechanic - JLL

What this job involves

The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, adjustments, troubleshooting, minor and major repair of process equipment, the general facility, and utility equipment. This position operates with limited supervision and serves as an informal resource for less experienced team members. Must adhere to all SOPs, GMPs, and plant quality, safety, and documentation systems requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Technical Proficiency & Problem-Solving:
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings with developed proficiency
  • Troubleshoot basic and intermediate AC/DC components using established procedures and precedents
  • Provide solutions to atypical or infrequently occurring maintenance problems based on existing protocols
  • Make recommendations for improved machine performance that impact team productivity
    
• Leadership & Guidance:
  • Serve as informal resource and mentor for junior maintenance staff and new team members
  • Coordinate maintenance and PM activities with production personnel, exchanging moderately complex technical information
  • Provide guidance on proper use of electrical testing equipment and hand tools to ensure safety compliance
    
• Independent Operations:
  • Complete maintenance tasks with limited supervision while ensuring quality standards
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly
  • Understand how maintenance operations integrate with production and other plant functions
    

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with minimum 3-5 years manufacturing plant maintenance experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in general trades through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
• Advanced knowledge of electromechanical systems and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Proven ability to mentor others and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills for exchanging technical information across teams
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electromechanical systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to make recommendations for equipment improvements
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with production teams

Location: Onsite

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-330p

Compensation: $28-32/hr. (depending on experience)
