Inova Clinical Analytics is looking for a dedicated Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time working Monday - Friday day shift.

The Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst performs problem solution and program administration for internal and external customers. Designs and develops database queries that provide actionable insights into data sets as well as synthesize data into meaningful insights. Collaborates with analytic team members and customers in evaluating new technologies, as well as cross-train clinical analysts on department functions.

Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst Job Responsibilities:



  • Researches, develops, and employs appropriate data collection methodology, tools, and processes that maximize collection efficiency and minimalizes collection bias.
  • Recommends meaningful solutions based on data analyses and thorough understanding of organization and department strategic and operating priorities, goals, and objectives
  • Uses appropriate statistical, visual, and narrative displays of data in a manner that is easily and appropriately interpreted by the target audience
  • Provides technical assistance to team members on use of applicable software and database applications.
  • Creates reports, performs, oversees & approves complex data analysis, and designs data visualization models to support the implementation of clinical effectiveness, performance improvement, and service line initiatives.
  • Prepares presentations, leveraging clinical database reports and data visualization software, to assist team members.
  • Leads, oversees, and approves data quality analysis of other analytics team members as needed. Enhances team's data analysis capabilities.
  • Leads the consideration of new technologies, to achieve and advance the department's operational objectives.
  • Provides direction and administers best practices to department colleagues on data, reports, and internal requirements.
  • Manages the creation, validation, and transmission of data extracts to support various internal and external databases.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's Degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience using PowerBI preferred.
  • Previous experience using Epic preferred.
  • Background using statistics preferred.
  • Previous experience with coding or Python preferred.
