General Summary

Perform complete over-haul and testing of all manufacturers' pressure relief valves to include: Farris, Consolidated, Crosby, Anderson-Greenwood and others. Execute trouble-shooting and testing in shop and field environments. Directly reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions



  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.


  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.


  • Performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance to TEAM's National Board Inspection Code approved quality manual.


  • Directly communicates with customers.


  • Works autonomously in valve repair process.


  • Ensures all testing and repair reports are in compliance with quality system and National Board Inspection Code criteria.


Job Qualifications



  • Education preferred: high school diploma or GED equivalent.


  • Minimum 3- 5 years of experience.


  • Pressure Relief Valve Manufacturers Training Courses and/or certifications, National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors training course preferred.


  • Knowledge of Trevitest, EVT, AVK, or other in-line test equipment preferred.


  • Solid working knowledge of the ASME and NBIC codes.


  • 0 to 30% minimum travel requirement.


Work Conditions



  • Position is based out of a branch or site location.


  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.


  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.


  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.


  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.


  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.


May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis
