Job # EE25099 Job Title Associate Development Engineer Office Location Houston, TX Preferred Business Function /Department Technology/Product Development Sales Territory, if applicable General Role Description Research, assist in the development and deployment of new systems and technologies Role Accountabilities - Identify new technologies that have the potential to address the present, but unfilled, needs of our clients, or that create demand as a direct result of significant performance improvements that will provide a level of direct benefit to our clients sufficient to differentiate the Company from our competitors - Evaluate the feasibility, cost, and benefits of incorporating new technologies in the Company's automation and/or power converter products - Incorporate selected technologies into the Company's automation and/or power converter products in cooperation with the Company, parent company, and third-party development teams, as assigned - Recommend modifications to existing tools and features of new tools that are necessary to support the engineering and commissioning of products that incorporate selected technologies - Develop effective working relationships and productive communication with parent company - Perform engineering design, development planning, and project execution in coordination with the parent company, as assigned - Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including user manual, design specifications, test plan, and technical reports, as assigned - Resolve client design issues with new products, including troubleshooting issues at the job site if necessary, and documenting issues for escalation to development engineering, under the direction of appropriate technical personnel - Recommend product upgrades and changes to promote safety and functionality - Perform development testing activities as assigned to ensure work is accomplished productively and safely - Develop effective working relationships and productive communication with parent company to facilitate cooperation and coordination in design and development planning and project execution General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications - Master of science or PhD in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field - Research projects or thesis in the areas of electrical power systems, control systems theory, power electronics, embedded systems, mechatronics, power magnetics, or AC/DC drives and motors. - Co-op, internship, or other work experience in the above areas Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
